Alibaba Cloud, the cloud computing arm of Alibaba Group, today has unveiled an initiative to revamp its global partnership ecosystem, aiming to accelerate the adoption of AI and cloud computing solutions across industries. The “Alibaba Cloud Partner Rainforest Plan,” unveiled at the Alibaba Cloud Partner Summit 2024, includes several new programs designed to empower partners to leverage AI technologies and support global customers’ digital transformation.
“In today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape, collaboration is essential for innovation and growth,” said Selina Yuan, President of International Business at Alibaba Cloud Intelligence. “Our global partners are not merely participants; they are key architects shaping the future in this AI era. With our revamped partner ecosystem, we are committed to enabling our partners to meet the diverse business demands of customers around the world.”
The centerpiece of the new initiatives is the AI Alliance Accelerator Program, which seeks to establish a dedicated ecosystem of AI technology and channel partners. Targeting full implementation by 2025, the program will collaborate with 50 AI tech partners and 50 channel partners, providing them with enhanced technical support, collaborative go-to-market resources, and dedicated AI consulting services.
Additionally, Alibaba Cloud has introduced the Revitalized Service Partner Program, which focuses on upskilling existing service partners. The program will offer targeted training to help partners provide comprehensive consulting, implementation, and managed services, while diversifying their revenue streams. Alibaba Cloud plans to work with service partners to develop AI-related offerings, including a Managed Large Language Model Service, to addressing growing demand for AI solutions for global customers.
In a strategic move to expand its global service network, Alibaba Cloud has partnered with 18 service providers, including Whale Cloud, Bespin Global, Cognizant Worldwide, Deloitte, Accenture, and FPT. These collaborations are designed to improve resource sharing and build a robust service system capable of meeting the diverse needs of global customers.
Alibaba Cloud has also introduced the Synergistic Incentive Program to strengthen collaboration among technology and channel partners. This initiative will expand go-to-market pathways, allowing technology partners to leverage Alibaba Cloud’s extensive channel network while offering channel partners a broader portfolio of products to enhance sales opportunities.
The company is also deepening collaborations with both global and regional partners such as Telkom Indonesia, Secura(Japan) and Yell Group(Thailand), to tailor solutions for specific markets and foster a thriving global ecosystem.
Currently, Alibaba Cloud collaborates with over 12,000 partners globally, including major names like Salesforce, Fortinet, IBM and Neo4j.
